Hi I’m Abby – fitness enthusiast and mum

I’ve always loved fitness and have worked in the industry for over 16 years. Since becoming a parent myself, I’ve worked with hundreds of parents just like you, helping them to find time for exercise and massage while removing the hassle of finding childcare.

My Fitness Journey

Fitness and exercise have always been a big part of my life. As a child, I was very active, and my love of sport followed me into my teenage years. In college I trained as a fitness instructor and began teaching HiiT, tone, step, spin, boxercise and circuits at Northumbria University Gym.

While at university, I studied Sport & Exercise Psychology – in fact, I have a Masters degree in the subject! So, as well as knowing how to exercise safely, I understand what motivates people and what makes them adhere to a fitness programme- and I use this knowledge to help you along the way.

In 2016, I became a mum. I maintained my fitness levels throughout pregnancy, and I am passionate about helping others do the same. As a new parent, I sometimes found it challenging to get out and exercise or have any time for me. I didn’t have any childcare so could never get to the gym and really missed the physical and mental benefits of exercise. So, I decided to train as a personal trainer and then advanced my skills by becoming a specialist pregnancy and post-natal personal trainer offering PT at their home or mine where little ones could come along, so no need for childcare. I’ve loved working with hundreds of mums across Newcastle and North Tyneside and my little one has also made lots of friends!

As I delivered personal training sessions to my clients, I am often asked what else they can be doing to improve their fitness, reduce muscle tension, increase their flexibility, and promote better sleep quality. To help them with these issues, and to expand the range of services I offer, I trained and qualified as a sports massage therapist.

I offer sports massages to busy parents who are training, playing sports, have injuries or just sore muscles from everyday life. I take the hassle out of finding childcare, racing through rush hour and finding parking by coming to you. I provided a tailored, safe and clean massage in the comfort of your own home

Fitness really helped me throughout my pregnancy, and after the birth of my little boy. Today, I help women across Newcastle and North Tyneside to stay fit, strong, and healthy pre- and post-partum. I empower them to enjoy quicker recoveries following the birth of their children, and to reduce the effects of sleep deprivation, isolation, anxiety, and post-natal depression.

I know that being a parent comes with many joys. It also, though, comes with a fair few challenges – something that I am sure we can agree on! I help my clients to fit exercise around their family and work life commitments. I remove the burden of childcare by providing personal training and sports massage within the comfort of their own home.
